Thompson Citizen reports Vale Inco cuts non-union staff as well as management jobs.

While there was no reprieve this time, it could have been worse – much worse – here as the Brazilian mining giant Companhia Vale do Rio Doce of Rio de Janeiro eliminated 900 jobs from its global workforce of 14,000 on Tuesday, with 423 of them coming from its Canadian subsidiary Vale Inco.
