Berong in talks with BHP to double Nickel supply
Philippines’ Berong Nickel Corp is in negotiation with BHP Billiton to double its annual supply contract to 1 million tonnes of laterite nickel ore.
George Bujtor, chief executive of Berong Nickel, was quoted as saying:
We’re now looking at increasing that to a million tonnes a year, and that tides us away from relying on the Chinese market.
